RivaSoul was born in Essex, with London woven deeply into the rhythm of his life. Essex and London sit close together geographically and culturally, and over the years London became a constant through business, nightlife, clubs, bars, raves and the wider music scene.
That proximity matters to the creative identity. The project is rooted in Britain but never confined to one postcode. It carries the perspective of someone who has moved between entrepreneurial rooms, late-night culture and music for years.

Stepping away meant learning life.
The pause was not simply about choosing business over music. RivaSoul spent those years building companies, raising his family and developing himself further as a person.
Looking back, the earlier music was authentic, but he was still learning. Time away created space for more perspective, more discipline, more experience and a clearer understanding of who he was creatively and personally.
That chapter matters because the return is not built on nostalgia. It is built on having lived enough to know what the work should say, how it should be built and what kind of platform should exist around it.

Over sixteen years, RivaSoul has built and developed seven-figure businesses, bringing an entrepreneurial and private-equity investment perspective to the projects he takes on. That experience now sits alongside the artist rather than competing with him.
The Midnight Rooftop is therefore not only about making records. The long-term vision is to identify exceptional singers, rappers, musicians, producers and filmmakers, then help develop them through creative direction, production support and, where appropriate, funding.
The ambition is to build artists, not simply upload them. To create an environment where talent can be headhunted, developed and surrounded by strong music, visual identity and serious production.

The landscape finally matches the imagination.
Technology has changed dramatically since RivaSoul’s first music chapter. AI-assisted music tools, animation, digital production and remote collaboration now make it possible to move from an idea in the middle of the night to a detailed prototype at extraordinary speed.
That technology is not the identity of the work. It is a tool. RivaSoul writes his lyrics and melodies, raps, produces his music, shapes the concepts and directs the visual worlds around them. Each record begins with an idea, a feeling or a story; technology helps turn that creative direction into a finished experience. The strongest ideas are intended to move beyond prototypes into live musicianship and collaborations with producers, performers and filmmakers.
The project is also being developed alongside experienced music collaborators, including a Grammy Award-winning producer, with the intention of connecting modern creative technology to genuine musicianship and artist development.

A universe built city by city.
Every city gets its own recurring identity. New York should never look or sound interchangeable with Mumbai. Hong Kong should not feel like Panjab. The backdrop, people, music, fashion, language and visual rhythm change with the city while the atmosphere of The Midnight Rooftop remains recognisable.
Every song gets a bespoke film, made for that song and that city. Every strong city concept can grow into a series. And over time, those fictional rooftops are intended to become a real platform for collaborations, sessions, live performances and emerging artists.
This is the comeback. But it is also the build.
